The"Bushen Huoxue"Prescription Improves the Information Processing Speed of Patients with Cerebral Small Vessel Disease
Objective:To explore the clinical study of"Bu Shen Huo Xue"prescription in improving the information processing speed of patients with mild cognitive impairment of cerebral small vessel disease. Methods:A total of 176 patients with mild cognitive impairment of cerebral small vessel disease of"kidney essence deficiency combined with blood stasis and obstruction of collaterals"who met the criteria were selected and divided into a treatment group of 91 cases and a control group of 85 cases. The patients in the treatment group received Bu Shen Huo Xue Chinese medi-cine treatment for 3 months, and the patients in both groups were followed up for 1 year;the overall cognition,informa-tion processing speed and gait changes of the two groups were compared. Results:There was no statistical difference in age, gender and education level between the two groups. After 3 months of treatment, the overall cognitive level of the patients in the Chinese medicine group was higher than before, and the completion time of the line connection test and gait test was shorter than before(P<0.05).After 1 year of follow-up,the overall cognitive level of the patients in the Chinese medicine group was slightly improved compared with before treatment(P<0.05);the completion time of the line connection test and gait test of the patients in the control group was longer than that of the Chinese medicine group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Kidney-tonifying and blood-activating therapy can improve patients'overall cognitive function and information processing speed, and delay the decline of patients'information processing speed in 1 year.
