Observation on the Therapeutic Effect of Massage Therapy for Anterior Scalene Muscle Syndrome based on the Theory of"Differentiation of Structure and Treatment"
Objective:Based on the theory of"differentiation of syndromes and treatment",the neck balancing method was used to treat anterior scalene syndrome, and its clinical efficacy was observed. Methods:A total of 66 pa-tients diagnosed with anterior scalene syndrome from March 2023 to October 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 33 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with the neck balancing method, and the control group was treated with Chinese medicine sealing(Qianghuo Shengshi Decoc-tion plus or minus). The efficacy was observed after 10 days of treatment, and the patients were followed up 1 month after the end of treatment. The visual analogue scale(VAS)scale and Hamilton anxiety(HAMA)scale were compared between the two groups before and after treatment and during follow-up;the physical signs(Adson sign,Tinel sign, scalene tenderness),upper limb muscle strength and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared after treatment. Results:After treatment, the VAS and HAMA scores of the two groups of patients decreased(P<0.05),but the observa-tion group was better(P<0.05);the physical signs of the two groups of patients were compared, and the positive rates of Adson's sign and scalene muscle tenderness in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the number of patients with upper limb muscle strength≥3 in the observation group was more(P<0.05);the clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Based on the theory of"treatment based on differentiation of structure",the neck balancing method has a better clinical effect in the treat-ment of anterior scalene syndrome, which can effectively reduce the pain of patients, relieve the anxiety caused by the disease, and improve the upper limb muscle strength, which is worthy of further clinical application.
