Study on Muscle Fatigue of Maintenance Operations in Confined Spaces Based on sEMG
To explore the development of muscle fatigue for maintenance workers in confined space, avoid muscle fatigue ac-cumulation and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders, the muscle activity information of 6 muscle groups including left and right trapedus muscle, right middle deltoid muscle, right supraspinatus muscle, right infraspinatus muscle and right digit-al extensor muscle were measured at 2 heights (120cm and 140cm)and under 3 working surfaces (front, side and top)dur-ing maintenance work, and the CR10 score was recorded. Then the development of muscle fatigue under different heights and working surfaces were analyzed by statistical analysis method. The results showed that height significantly affected the MF value of right infraspinatus muscle and right extensor finger muscle,as well as the IEMG value of middle deltoid muscle, right supraspinatus muscle and right infraspinatus muscle, while working surfaces had no significant effect on the MF value and IEMG value of all muscle groups. The height significantly affected the CR10 scores of the whole body, neck, shoulder and left leg. The working face, however, were not significant to the CR10 scores of the whole body and body parts. During maintenance work in confined space, the height significantly affects the development of muscle fatigue, the accumulation of muscle fatigue is more obvious at 140cm working height. The development of muscle fatigue under working faces of front, side and top, however,is insignificant.
