Study on Influencing Factors of Unsafe Behavior of High Formwork Construction Based on DEMATEL-ISM
The objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive examination of the hierarchical structure and logical rela-tionship between the influencing factors of unsafe behavior in high formwork construction. This analysis is intended to inform strategies for reducing construction safety accidents and enhancing the safety management level.By employing grounding the-ory and drawing upon the extant literature on high formwork accidents,as well as qualitative interviews, four core codes of organisation, individual, equipment and environment have been identified. In light of the aforementioned considerations,an index system of influencing factors of unsafe behavior in high formwork construction has been proposed, encompassing 19 distinct factors. The Grey-DEMATEL-ISM method is a novel approach that integrates the decision-making test and evalua-tion laboratory method(DEMATEL)with the interpretive structural model method(ISM).The grey number theory is em-ployed to identify the key influencing factors, construct a multi-layer hierarchical structural model and elucidate the underly-ing influencing factors. The results indicate that enhancing the level of education and training,as well as the investment in safety, and improving the quality, knowledge and safety awareness of personnel, have the most significant impact on the prevention and control of unsafe behavior in high formwork construction. This work may serve as a point of reference for the implementation of safety protocols in the context of high formwork construction.
