Research Progress on Testing the Explosion Characteristics of Combustible Gases and Vapors
This work is aimed at the prevention and control of accidents caused by explosions of combustible gas and vapor and the study of their characteristic parameters.By reviewing domestic and international standards and literature, this paper reviews the results of standard formulation and testing research in recent years from two aspects:the standard system and tes-ting apparatus, and the current status of testing research on explosion characteristic parameters. The analysis revealed that there is no national standard for the minimum ignition energy, maximum explosion pressure and maximum rate of pressure rise rate of gas and vapor in China, which needs to be formulated as soon as possible.Currently, testing research is focused on the explosion characteristics of single-component gases at normal temperature and pressure, while studies of multi-com-ponent combustible gases are relatively scarce. In addition, little research has been done on the effect of different ignition methods on explosion characteristics.Further research can be conducted in three areas:the formulation of relevant standards, the effect of ignition energy on explosion characteristics, and the testing research on multicomponent gases.
