Teaching Practices for Integrating Scientific Frontier into College Physics Course
College physics is an important public basic compulsory course for science and engineering students at higher education institutions. It serves not just as a foundation for other specialized courses, but also significantly contributes to en-hancing students'skills and overall development. At present, many students fail to recognize the significance of learning col-lege physics, focusing merely on passing exams and showing a lack of genuine interest in the subject.Combined with the cur-rent situation of college physics teaching and the problems encountered in the teaching process, the concept of incorporating cutting-edge scientific topics and contemporary issues into the curriculum is proposed.Specifically, the motion of charged par-ticles within electromagnetic field is used as an example for implementing this teaching approach. It is found that integrating scientific frontier into college physics can enhance student engagement and spark a greater drive for scientific inquiry.
