Settlement prediction and reliability analysis of concrete pipe culverts under uneven settlements
An integrated model of soil-concrete pipe culverts was established by ABAQUS software for high-fill concrete pipe culverts. The elastic modulus and density of soil with large deformation affecting concrete pipe culvert are taken as random variables and the test samples that can uniformly cover the whole range of random variables are generated by Latin Hypercube sampling method. The response values of 200 groups of concrete pipe culverts were obtained by finite element analysis.Deterministic numerical simulation and analysis were conducted on 200 groups of sample data to obtain random calculation results as the basic data set.Among them, the training sample data is 170 groups, and the test sample data is 30 groups.A Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)with strong adaptability, high fault tolerance, greater flexibility, and strong nonlinearity is introduced. The response prediction model and reliability analysis method of the concrete culvert are established based on a CNN.The method is easy to implement, the accuracy rate can reach more than 90%,and the calculation results are reliable. On this basis, the reliability of concrete pipe culverts is calculated by using Monte-Carlo method(MCS)for random variable sampling through practical engineering examples. The response reliability of high-fill concrete pipe culverts under the action of uneven settlement is analyzed and discussed. The reliability of vertical displacement of concrete pipe culvert considering the uneven settlement of the foundation and not considering the uneven settlement of the foundation is analyzed. The results show that the vertical displacement of the concrete pipe culvert is 8.32 mm without considering the uneven settlement of the foundation.Considering the uneven settlement of the foundation, the vertical displacement of the concrete pipe culvert is larger(the mean displacement is 11.0 mm).The uneven settlement of the foundation seriously endangers the use safety of concrete and has an important impact on its long-term operation stability. Therefore,in the actual construction process of concrete pipe culverts, the foundation should be treated to reduce the uneven settlement of the foundation and avoid damage to the pipe culvert due to the uneven settlement.
