Text mining and social network analysis of general aviation accident causes
The purpose of this article is to fully explore the causes of general aviation accidents and clarify the direction of general aviation safety management.42 typical accidents of general aviation in China from 2016 to 2021 were selected.The research methods adopted in this paper include text mining and social network analysis.The text mining method is used to obtain the causes of general aviation accidents,and the social network analysis method is used to explore the relationship between several causes of accidents.With the help of R language software,the collected general aviation accident investigation reports are textualized,and word segmentation,feature dimensionality reduction,and visualization operations are carried out.The social network of causes of general aviation accidents is constructed with the help of social network analysis tools Ucinet and Gephi,and the centrality analysis and core edge structure analysis are carried out for this network.Through this part of the analysis,the importance of the causes of general aviation accidents and the degree of connection among the causes of accidents are explored.Through text mining and social network analysis of the causes of accidents and the relationship between the causes of key causes of general aviation accidents to build the model,and finally put forward the safety management suggestions for general aviation accidents.The results show that there are 24 key factors leading to the occurrence of general aviation accidents,including lack of theoretical knowledge,unsound system,insufficient observation,no aviation warning signs,etc.Core causes of general aviation accidents consist of weather accident factors,non-standard operation,inadequate management,inadequate preparation,delay in correction,illegal behavior,mechanical failure,lack of situational awareness,lack of risk control,and improper handling of special situations.Human factors are the most important factors causing general aviation accidents,and human factors are closely related to mechanical equipment factors and management factors.
