Intelligent monitoring and optimization of carbon emissions in the construction stage of external wall panels
The excessive emission of greenhouse gases in the construction industry has gradually attracted people's attention,and the construction stage often faces problems such as excessive cost,prolonged construction period,and uncontrolled carbon emissions.To solve the above problems,first of all,this article compares and summarizes the existing carbon emission calculation methods and their characteristics.By comparison,the carbon emission factor method is chosen as the carbon emission calculation method in this paper.The construction site's carbon emission accounting boundary is defined and the carbon emission accounting models are established.Moreover,a framework for a monitoring and optimization system is proposed in three parts:the physical layer,the computational layer,and the interaction layer.The physical layer consists of smart meters and equipment such as Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)tags and readers,which are mainly used to obtain construction site data information and upload the data to the computational layer;the computational layer consists of Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 and MySQL database,which is responsible for calculating,storing and calling data,it enables the association of data at the physical layers and the interaction layer;the interaction layer is mainly implemented through the Revit platform,allowing users to monitor carbon emissions in real-time and view the best construction processes.Last but not least,the article takes the construction process of external wall panels as an example,analyses the construction process of external wall panels,and divides each process into three modes:normal mode,rush mode,and economical mode.We summarise the labor,materials,and machinery consumed in different modes,and construct a multi-objective optimization model of"cost-duration-carbon emission".A genetic algorithm incorporating the concept of flexibility is used to find the combination of process execution modes and optimal solutions that best suit the project characteristics in terms of the combined objectives of"cost-duration-carbon emissions".All in all,the article takes Revit as the secondary development platform,establishes a database using MySQL,and builds an intelligent monitoring and optimization platform for carbon emissions.It provides a set of scientific and efficient integrated management technology for carbon emission monitoring and optimization in the construction stage of prefabricated buildings.
