Study on the impact relationship between miners'safety attitude and coal mine near-miss
To further enhance the level of accident prevention and control in coal mines and explore the impact relationships between safety attitude, demographic variables, and near-miss of coal mine hazards, this study, grounded in literature review and various sub-dimensions of demographic variables, safety attitude, and coal mine near-miss,employed the Safety Attitude Questionnaire(SAQ)for Miners and the Near-Miss Questionnaire(NMQ)for coal mines as research tools.A questionnaire survey was conducted among various types of workers-coal miners, tunneling workers, electromechanical workers, and transportation workers-in the Shaanxi Hongliulin and Inner Mongolia Mataihao coal mines, accumulating a total of 258 valid questionnaires.Subsequent analyses utilized one-way ANOVA to probe into the impact relationship of demographic variables on near-miss,and Pearson correlation analysis alongside hierarchical linear regression methods to delve into the impact relationship of safety attitude on the coal mine near-miss.The findings reveal that:(1)Age has a weak influence on the cognition and recognition of near-miss,and the cognition and recognition ability of miners aged 30-40 are significantly higher than those aged 50-60.The number of near-miss experiences displays a subtle and influential relationship with near-miss cognition, with miners experiencing 4-9 near-miss having significantly higher levels of near-miss perceptions than miners experiencing 10 or more. There was an inverse U relationship between the cognitive level and the recognition ability of different groups.(2)A miner's safety attitude exerts a positive influence on near-miss and manifests a significant positive correlation with the perception and reporting of near-miss.Regarding safety attitude sub-dimensions,the workgroup's safety atmosphere positively influences near-miss and all its sub-dimensions,while the management's commitment to safety and work pressure influenced only the reporting of near-miss positively. Therefore, attention to the cultivation of miners'safety attitudes is requisite in the daily safety management process of coal mines to safeguard coal mining operations.
