Study on the influence of miners'unsafe emotions on their risk preferences
Studying the impact of miners'unsafe emotions on their risk preferences is crucial for exploring ways to enhance miners'safety behaviors. However, the influence of miners'complex unsafe emotions on their risk preferences remains unclear. Therefore, based on a thorough literature review, this paper examines the direct effect of miners'unsafe emotions on their risk preferences, the mediating role of self-control,as well as the moderating effects of emotional intelligence and age.The paper formulated theoretical hypotheses regarding the impact of miners'unsafe emotions on their risk preferences.Utilizing the PROCESS plugin and the Bootstrap method to assess the significance of regression coefficients, the study seeks to validate these theoretical hypotheses. The results reveal a significant and positive influence of miners'unsafe emotions on their level of risk preferences. This indicates that miners experiencing stronger daily unsafe emotions tend to exhibit higher levels of risk preference.Furthermore,self-control was found to partially mediate the relationship between miners'unsafe emotions and their risk preferences. This suggests that enhancing self-control can effectively reduce miners'risk preference levels.Miners with higher levels of self-control are more inclined towards safety behaviors.Furthermore, emotional intelligence moderates the impact of miners'unsafe emotions on their self-control process.Miners with higher emotional intelligence are more adept at mitigating the negative influence of their unsafe emotions on self-control.Additionally,age moderates the direct impact of miners'unsafe emotions on their risk preferences, particularly within the age groups of 30-39 and 40-49.As miners age,the positive effect of their unsafe emotions on their risk preferences gradually diminishes. These research findings provide empirical evidence for lowering miners'risk preference levels and enhancing their safety decision-making capabilities.Based on these results,it is recommended to reduce miners'risk preference levels by managing the emergence and diffusion of miners'unsafe emotions.Additionally, enhancing miners'emotional regulation and self-control abilities can be beneficial in this regard.
