High temperature oxidation behaviors of Al doped CoCrNiAlY metal bonding layers
CoCrNiAlY and Al-doped CoCrNiAlY coatings were prepared on the surface of GH4169 high-tem-perature alloy by arc ion plating technology, and the high-temperature antioxidant behaviour and mechanism of the coatings were systematically investigated, and the physical structure characteristics, oxidation reaction products, and the surface/sectional microscopic morphology were comprehensively analyzed by using mi-croscale analytical characterization methods such as XRD,SEM and EDS.The results show that the undoped CoCrNiAlY coatings exhibit poor structural stability and antioxidant properties, and the coatings show a con-tinuous oxidation weight gain trend, with the mass gain of the coatings reaching 0.38 mg/cm2 at 200 h.How-ever,Al doping significantly improves the high temperature antioxidant properties and structural stability of the CoCrNiAlY coatings, and the mass gain increases rapidly and then tends to be stabilised, with the mass gain of the coatings reaching approximately 0.5 mg/cm2 at 200 h.The mass gain of the coating is about 0.30 mg/cm2.The results of this study fully confirm that Al doping can significantly improve the antioxidant property of CoCrNiAlY metal bonded layer.
