Preparation of MnO2/MCMB materials and study of their supercapacitor properties
To enhance the potential application of MnO2 as an electrode material for supercapacitors,a series of MnO2/MCMB composites(mesocarbon microbeads(MCMB)loaded with MnO2 nanoparticles)with the pseudocapacitor energy storage behavior were synthesized utilizing a simple one-step hydrothermal method. The structural and morphological characteristics of the synthesized MnO2/MCMB composites were conducted using XRD,Raman,XPS,and SEM techniques. The results indicate that the MnO2/MCMB material maintains the spherical shape of MCMB,and the generation of MnO2 impacts the graphitization degree and carbon layer spacing of MCMB.When MnO2/MCMB electrodes were assembled as a symmetric supercapacitor, possessing a maximum specific capacitance of 844 F/g at a current density of 1 A/g.Moreover,the supercapacitor exhibit-ed the highest energy density of 32.11 W·h/kg and power density of 500 W/kg,respectively.
