Preparation and bimodal properties of a magnetic resonance contrast agent
Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)is currently one of the most powerful in vivo imaging tech-niques.In order to improve the imaging quality for more accurate detection and diagnosis,MRI contrast agents are often needed. This article reports the preparation of an MRI agent DO3A-Gd-BCCA using the in-si-tu synthesis method with DO3A-Gd and benzocoumarin-3-carboxylic acid(BCCA).The contrast agent also has the ability to recognize fluoride ions in both magnetic resonance and fluorescence modes.By replacing the fluorescent group BCCA with fluoride ions, the number of coordinated water molecules around Gd(Ⅲ)and the charge transfer of the fluorescent group were increased, achieving simultaneous activation of magnetic res-onance signals and fluorescence signals. This contrast agent exhibits good stability and is suitable for pH condi-tions under physiological, with a detection limit of 77 μmol/L for F-.
