An Exploration of Applying COCA Corpus in Junior High School English Vocabulary Teaching
Corpus plays an important role in junior high school English vocabulary teaching,which can not on-ly help students better understand the actual usage of vocabulary,but also help teachers design more effective vocabulary teaching plans. Corpus provides a huge amount of teaching resources for English teaching with its diverse language materials and powerful search function. This paper takes a vocabulary lesson from the Second Book of The Eighth Year of Junior High School English published by People' s Education Press as an example by incorporating the teaching concept of Activity-based Learning,and provides the methods and strategies for junior high school English vocabulary teaching by applying the COCA corpus hoping to provide insights for in-formation technology-assisted junior high school English teaching.
