Driven by the concept of contemporary painting,ink figure painting has differed a lot from form to content from traditional painting and modern painting.Based on the creation of ink figure painting,this paper analyzes the characteristics of contemporary ink figure painting in four aspects:theme selection,narrative ex-pression,new form exploration and its modernity.Contemporary ink figure painting has long gone beyond the simple description of the character image and has become a carrier to show the national style and spiritual realm.
