The excellent traditional Chinese culture is the crystallization of wisdom of the Chinese civilization and the spiritual lifeblood of the Chinese nation. It is an important measure to carry out the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era into the graduate ideological and political education and promote the integration of the two. An in-depth analysis is conducted on the importance of Chinese excellent traditional culture education and the problems faced in integrating Chinese excellent traditional culture into graduate ideo-logical and political education. Effective ways are proposed to promote the healthy development of graduate ed-ucation in the new era,enhance the historical and cultural confidence of graduate students in the new era,and give full play to the organizational role of party branches to enhance the radiation efficiency of party members;optimize the curriculum for graduate students and innovate ideological education and publicity methods;en-hance the ideological guidance role of full-time graduate counselors;enrich the forms of graduate students' par-ticipation in excellent traditional Chinese cultural activities.
