University national defense education has the natural attributes and unique advantages of ideolog-ical and political education. At present,there are some problems in the integration of national defense education and ideological and political education in universities. For the sake of the strengthening the deep integration of national defense education and ideological and political education in universities,it should start with improving curriculum system,foster students on practice,enrich the military skill training and strengthen the construction of teaching staff. The feasible and effective integration paths concerning the above necessities will be explored to promote their coordinated development and achieve complementary advantages so that the effectiveness of u-niversity national defense education in nurturing talents can be enhanced.
