A Comparative Analysis of Piano Education for Adolescents in China and Philippines
Piano education not only cultivates adolescents'musical literacy,enhances their musical percep-tion and creativity,but also trains their coordination and concentration abilities.However,piano education for adolescents in China still faces issues such as utilitarian educational goals,simplistic teaching content,mecha-nized teaching methods,and a disconnection between theory and practice,which lead to students'insufficient performance skills.This paper compares and analyzes the differences in curriculum design and teaching con-tent,teaching methods,initiation methods and training time arrangements,as well as grading evaluations be-tween piano education for adolescents in China and the Philippines.It also provides insights and suggestions,aiming to offer valuable references for learners and educators in China.
