The book"Reclusive Biographies"is a specialized compilation of the words,deeds,and literary works of hermit groups throughout history,written by"hermit groups"or literati officials.From existing catalog documents and handed down literature,literati officials from the pre Qin to the Han Dynasty have studied"her-mit".However,there is no record of any"reclusive biography"in Ban Gu's"Book of Han:Yiwen Zhi",be-cause"reclusion"runs counter to Ban Gu's family background and the academic stance of his literary group.
