Synthesis and Properties of Spinel Cobalt Iron Oxide Supported on N-doped Graphene Catalysts for Qxygen Reduction Reaction
N-doped graphene(NG)with high N content is prepared by high temperature pyrolysis using poly(2,5-benzimidazole)(PBI)as nitrogen and carbon sources.Spinel CoFe2O4 supported on NG is prepared by hydrothermal method. The electrochemical tests exhibit that the onset potential of CoFe2O4-NG#400 is 0.12 V,and the half-wave potential of CoFe2O4-NG#400 is-0.044 V.The catalytic activity is close to that of commer-cial 20%Pt/C catalyst. In addition,CoFe2O4-NG#400 has better durability than commercial 20%Pt/C cata-lyst.The experimental results show that CoFe2O4-NG#400 has good catalytic oxygen reduction reaction per-formance and can be used as a non-precious metal oxygen reduction reaction catalyst in the field of fuel cells.
