Research on the Pathways for Higher Education Institutions in the New Era to Facilitate the Professional Skill Enhancement of New Farmers——Taking Xidian University as an Example
During the process of promoting rural revitalization,the Communist Party of China(CPC)and the state have always been committed to giving full play to the principal role of farmers and strengthening the internal development impetus of the vast number of farmers.Xidian University,as the first engineering and technical college established by the CPC,has always capitalized on its disciplinary features and professional strengths in the course of carrying out education-oriented poverty alleviation to assist rural revitalization.Through the forms of the science and technology poverty alleviation expert and doctor support team,the E-commerce poverty alleviation training base,and the industry-university-research integration demonstration base,it has implemented a series of new farmer cultivation schemes,such as the farmer professional skill improvement curriculum system,advanced study classes,and scientific and technological innovation activities,achieving remarkable results.Based on practical experience,Xidian University further proposes a development vision of empowering the vocational cultivation of new farmers with digitalization,informatization,and intelligence in the context of higher education institutions contributing to rural revitalization in the New Era.By leveraging the educational function of industry-characteristic universities,it promotes two-way interaction and effective linkage between the vocational cultivation of new farmers and the cultivation of talents for the New Era,realizing the mutual integration and interoperability of"New Engineering"and"New Agricultural Sciences".
