Objective To investigate the curative effect of Tanreqing injection combined with prednisolone on breast cancer complicated with acute radiation pneumonia.Method A total of 68 patients of breast cancer complicated with acute radiation pneumonia were divided into control group and combined group with 34 cases in each group by random number table method.The control group was treated with prednisolone and the combined group was treated with Tanreq-ing injection on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effect,radiation pneumonia grade[Radiation Therapy On-cology Group(RTOG)grading standard],quality of life[Kamofsky performance status(KPS)score,functional assess-ment of cancer therapy-breast(FACT-B)],pulmonary fibrosis index[laminin(LN),procollagen type Ⅰ carboxy-terminal propeptide(PICP),procollagen type Ⅲ(PCⅢ)]and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result The total response rate of combined group was higher than that of control group,the difference was sta-tistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the grade of radiation pneumonia in combined group was better than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the KPS and FACT-B scores were increased in both groups,and the KPS and FACT-B scores in combined group were higher than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of LN,PICP and PCⅢ in two groups were decreased,and the levels of LN,PICP and PCⅢ in combined group were lower than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Tanreqing injection combined with prednisolone can achieve a good effect in the treatment of breast cancer patients with acute radiation pneumonia,which can significantly alleviate the condition of patients,reduce the grade of radiation pneumonia,improve the quality of life,alleviate pulmonary fibrosis,and the drugs are safe.
