Effect of comfort intervention on anxiety and depression in patients with glioma after surgery
Objective To investigate the effect of comfort intervention on anxiety and depression in patients with gli-oma after surgery.Method A total of 98 patients with glioma who underwent surgery were divided into control group(routine intervention)and observation group(comfort intervention)according to different intervention methods, with 49 cases in each group. The adverse mood[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)],quality of life[European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life questionnaire core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30)],incidence of complications and satisfaction of the two groups were compared.Result After intervention, the scores of SAS and SDS in two groups were lower than those before intervention, and the scores of SAS and SDS in obser-vation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After interven-tion,the scores of physical function, cognitive function, emotional function, role function and social function in two groups were higher than those before intervention, and the scores of physical function, cognitive function, emotional func-tion,role function and social function in observation group were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications of observation group was lower than that of control group, and the total satisfaction rate was higher than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Comfort intervention can alleviate the adverse mood of glioma patients who underwent surgery,im-prove their quality of life, and reduce the incidence of complications, which is helpful to further improve the satisfaction of patients.
