Application effect of personalized nutrition intervention based on patient-generated subjective global assessment in patients with gastric cancer undergoing postoperative chemotherapy
Objective To investigate the application effect of personalized nutrition intervention based on patient-gen-erated subjective global assessment(PG-SGA)in patients with gastric cancer undergoing postoperative chemotherapy.Method A total of 132 gastric cancer patients undergoing postoperative chemotherapy were divided into control group(n=65)and observation group(n=67)according to different intervention methods.Patients in the control group received routine intervention, and patients in the observation group received personalized nutrition intervention based on PG-SGA on the basis of the control group. The gastrointestinal function recovery indexes, nutritional indexes[hemoglobin(Hb),al-bumin(ALB),total protein(TP)],immune function indexes[immunoglobulin(Ig)A,IgM,IgG,CD3+,CD4+,CD8+],qual-ity of life[European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life questionnaire core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30)]and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result The improvement time of abdominal distension, first exhaust time and bowel sound recovery time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).After intervention, the levels of Hb,ALB and TP in the two groups were higher than those before intervention, the levels of Hb,ALB and TP in the observa-tion group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After in-tervention,the levels of IgA,IgG,IgM,CD3+and CD4+in the two groups were higher than those before intervention, the levels of CD8+were lower than those before intervention, and the levels of IgA,IgG,IgM,CD3+and CD4+in the observa-tion group were higher than those in the control group, and the level of CD8+was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of each dimension of EORTC QLQ-C30 in the two groups were higher than those before intervention, and the scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Personalized nu-trition intervention based on PG-SGA can improve the nutritional status and immune function of patients with gastric can-cer undergoing postoperative chemotherapy, promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, improve the quality of life of patients, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
