Application effect of individualized nutrition intervention based on patient-generated subjective global assessment in patients with adjuvant chemotherapy after radical gastrectomy
Objective To investigate the application effect of individualized nutrition intervention based on patient-generated subjective global assessment(PG-SGA)in patients with adjuvant chemotherapy after radical gastrectomy.Method A total of 108 patients with adjuvant chemotherapy after radical gastrectomy were divided into control group(n=48)and observation group(n=60)according to different intervention methods. The control group received convention-al intervention, and the observation group received individualized nutrition intervention based on PG-SGA on the basis of the control group. The nutritional indexes[albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PAB),total protein(TP),prognostic nutritional index(PNI)],immune functions indexes(CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+),quality of life[European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life questionnaire core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30)]and satisfaction were compared be-tween the two groups.Result After intervention, the ALB,PAB,TP,PNI,CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+and EORTC QLQ-C30 scores in two groups were higher than those before intervention, the ALB,PAB,TP,PNI,CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,EORTC QLQ-C30 scores and total satisfaction rate in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Individualized nutrition intervention based on PG-SGA is applied to patients with adjuvant chemotherapy after radical gastrectomy, which can improve the nutritional status and im-mune function, improve the quality of life and satisfaction of patients.
