Application effect of Roy adaptation model in breast cancer patients undergoing surgery
Objective To investigate the application effect of Roy adaptation model in breast cancer patients undergo-ing surgery.Method A total of 151 breast cancer patients with modified radical mastectomy were divided into conven-tional group(n=71)and Roy group(n=80)according to different intervention methods. The conventional group received conventional intervention, and the Roy group received Roy adaptation model on the basis of the conventional interven-tion.The psychological state[self-rating depression scale(SDS),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),Connor-Davidson resil-ience scale(CD-RISC)],quality of life[functional assessment of cancer therapy-breast(FACT-B)],incidence of postoper-ative complications and postoperative hospital stay were compared between the two groups.Result At discharge,SDS and SAS scores in two groups were lower than those before surgery,CD-RISC scroes and each dimension scores of FACT-B were higher than those before surgery,SDS and SAS scores in Roy group were lower than those in conventional group,CD-RISC scroe and each dimension scores of FACT-B were higher than those in conventional group, and the dif-ferences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in Roy group was sig-nificantly lower than that in conventional group, the postoperative hospital stay was significantly shorter than that in con-ventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion The application of Roy adapta-tion model in breast cancer patients undergoing surgery can promote postoperative rehabilitation, reduce the incidence of complications, improve the adverse psychological state of patients, and improve the quality of life.
