Influence of breast-conserving surgery and modified radical surgery on aesthetic effect of breast cancer patients
Objective To investigate the effects of breast-conserving surgery and modified radical surgery on aesthet-ic effect of breast cancer patients.Method A total of 104 patients with breast cancer were divided into control group(n=50)and observation group(n=54)according to the different surgical methods. The control group received modified radi-cal surgery, and the observation group received breast-conserving surgery. Both groups received high-quality operating room intervention. The surgical related indicators, aesthetic effects, incidence of complications, and prognosis were com-pared between two groups.Result The intraoperative bleeding volume of the observation group was significantly less than that of the control group, and the incision length, surgical time, and hospital stay were significantly shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The aesthetic effect excellent rate of the observation group was 94.44%,which was higher than 80.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistical-ly significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 9.26%,which was lower than 24.00%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after surgery, the breast symptom and upper limb symptom scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the body image, sexual function, sexual pleasure, and future perception scores were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion Compared with modified radical surgery,breast-conserving surgery can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications in patients with breast cancer, improve the aesthetic effect of the breast, and improve the prognosis.
