Relationship between platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, prognostic nutritional index,cyto-keratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1 and clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients with thymoma
Objective To investigate the relationship between platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),prognostic nutri-tional index(PNI),cyto-keratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1(CYRFA21-1)and clinical characteristics and prognosis of pa-tients with thymoma.Method A total of 125 thymoma patients were selected as the observation group and 116 healthy subjects were selected as the control group. The PLR,PNI and CYFRA21-1 were compared between the two groups and thymoma patients with different clinical characteristics. The thymoma patients were followed up for one year and divided into good prognosis group and poor prognosis group according to the prognosis. The clinical characteristics of thymoma patients with different prognosis were compared, and the influencing factors on prognosis of thymoma patients were ana-lyzed by multiple Logistic regression model.Result The PLR,PNI and CYFRA21-1 in observation group were signifi-cantly higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The PLR and CY-FRA21-1 of thymoma patients with different histological types,Masaoka stages and tumor diameters were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The PNI of thymoma patients with different histological types and Masaoka stages were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The histological type,Masao-ka stage,PLR,PNI and CYFRA21-1 in good prognosis group(n=98)and poor prognosis group(n=27)were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that histologi-cal type,Masaoka stage,PLR,PNI and CYFRA21-1 were influencing factors on prognosis of thymoma patients(P<0.05).Conclusion PLR,PNI,and CYFRA21-1 are highly expressed in thymoma, which are related to the clinical char-acteristics of patients and are influencing factors on prognosis of thymoma patients.
