Expression of human epididymis protein 4,phosphatase and tensin homolog,Ki-67 in ovarian cancer patients and their relationship with clinical characteristics and prognosis
Objective To investigate the expression of human epididymis protein 4(HE4),phosphatase and tensin ho-molog(PTEN),Ki-67 in ovarian cancer patients and their relationship with clinical characteristics and prognosis.Method A total of 83 patients with ovarian cancer and 75 patients with benign ovarian disease were selected as ovarian cancer group and benign ovarian disease group, respectively. The positive expression of HE4,PTEN and Ki-67 in two groups and ovarian cancer patients with different clinical characteristics were compared. The patients with ovarian cancer were divided into good prognosis group and poor prognosis group according to the prognosis, and the influencing factors of prognosis were analyzed by Logistic regression model.Result The positive expression rates of HE4 and Ki-67 in ovari-an cancer group were significantly higher than those in benign ovarian disease group, and the positive expression rates of PTEN was significantly lower than that in benign ovarian disease group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The positive expression rates of HE4,Ki-67,and PTEN in ovarian cancer patients with different differentiation degrees,TNM stages, and distant metastasis were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Univariate analysis showed that the differentiation degree,TNM stage, distant metastasis and expression of HE4,PTEN and Ki-67 of the good prognosis group(n=71)and the poor prognosis group(n=12)were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the differentiation degree,TNM stage, distant metastasis and the expression of HE4,PTEN and Ki-67 were prognostic factors of ovarian cancer pa-tients(P<0.05).Conclusion HE4,PTEN and Ki-67 are involved in the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer and are influencing factors for the prognosis of ovarian cancer patients.
