Predictive value of serum tumor markers combined detection for postoperative recurrence of lung cancer patients
Objective To explore the predictive value of combined detection of serum tumor markers[carcinoembry-onic antigen(CEA),neuron specific enolase(NSE),squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC-Ag),cyto-keratin 19 frag-ment antigen 21-1(CYFRA21-1),and pro-gastrin-releasing peptide(ProGRP)]for postoperative recurrence in lung can-cer patients.Method A total of 110 lung cancer patients and 110 healthy subjects were selected as the observation group and the healthy group, respectively. The serum CEA,NSE,SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1 and ProGRP levels of the two groups of subjects, lung cancer patients before and 1 year after surgery, and recurrent and non-recurrent lung cancer patients at 1 year after surgery were compared. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn, the area under the curve(AUC)was calculated, and the serum CEA,NSE,SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1 and ProGRP levels single and combined detec-tion in predicting postoperative recurrence in lung cancer patients were evaluated.Result The serum CEA,NSE,SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1,and ProGRP levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the healthy group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).At 1 year after surgery, the serum CEA,NSE,SCC-Ag,CY-FRA21-1,and ProGRP levels in lung cancer patients were significantly lower than those before surgery, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).During 1-year follow-up,among 110 lung cancer patients who underwent surgery, there were 30 cases of recurrence and 80 cases of non-recurrence.The serum CEA,NSE,SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1,and ProGRP levels in the non-recurrent lung cancer patients at 1 year after surgery were significantly lower than those of re-current patients, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).ROC curve showed that the AUC of serum CEA,NSE,SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1,and ProGRP combined detection in predicting postoperative recurrence in lung cancer pa-tients was 0.930(95%CI:0.875-0.985),sensitivity was 85.00%,and specificity was 93.75%,which were higher than those single detected of each indicator. Conclusion Serum CEA,NSE,SCC-Ag,CYFRA21-1,and ProGRP levels in lung cancer patients are high, and the combined detection has a higher efficacy in predicting postoperative recurrence in lung cancer patients.
