Expression and clinical significance of phosphoglycerate kinase 1 and enolase 1 in endometrial carcinoma
Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of phosphoglycerate kinase 1(PGK1)and enolase 1(ENO1)in endometrial carcinoma(EC).Method The EC tissues and paracancer tissues of 41 patients with EC and normal endometrial tissues of 10 patients with uterine fibroids or benign ovarian cysts were collected. The expres-sions of PGK1 and ENO1 were detected by immunohistochemistry. The expressions of PGK1 and ENO1 in EC tissues, paracancer tissues and normal endometrial tissues were compared, and the expressions of PGK1 and ENO1 in EC tissues of EC patients with different clinical characteristics were also compared.Result The positive expression rate of PGK1 in EC tissues was higher than that in paracancer tissues, and the positive expression rate of ENO1 was higher than that in paracancer tissues and normal endometrial tissues, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive expression rate of PGK1 in EC tissues of EC patients≥50 years old was higher than that of patients<50 years old,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The positive expression rates of PGK1 and ENO1 are high in EC tissues, and may be related to the occurrence of EC.Targeting PGK1 and ENO1 may bring new hope for the treat-ment of EC patients.
