Expression of polo like kinase 1 and RNA polymerase Ⅱ subunit A in human brain glioma and their relationship with prognosis
Objective To investigate the expression of polo like kinase 1(PLK1)and RNA polymerase Ⅱ subunit A(POLR2A)in human brain glioma(BG)and their relationship with prognosis.Method A total of 86 patients with BG were selected as the observation group and 30 non-tumor brain disease patients as the reference group.The BG tissues of the observation group and the non-tumor brain tissues of the reference group were collected.The expressions of PLK1 and POLR2A in the two groups and the positive expressions of PLK1 and POLR2A in BG tissues of BG patients with dif-ferent clinical characteristics were compared.The survival of BG patients with different PLK1 and POLR2A expressions were compared.Cox regression model was used to analyze the prognostic influencing factors of BG patients.Result The positive expression rates of PLK1 and POLR2A in observation group were higher than those in reference group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive expression rates of PLK1 and POLR2A in BG tissues of BG patients with poorly differentiated were higher than those of BG patients with medium-high differentiated,and the dif-ferences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The median survival time of patients with positive expressions of PLK1 and POLR2A were significantly shorter than those of patients with negative expressions of PLK1 and POLR2A,the dif-ferences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Cox multivariate regression analysis showed that low differentiation,PLK1 positive expression and POLR2A positive expression were independent risk factors for prognosis of BG patients(P<0.05).Conclusion PLK1 and POLR2A are highly expressed in BG patients,and the median survival time of BG pa-tients with high expression of PLK1 and POLR2A are shortened.Low differentiation,positive expression of PLK1 and positive expression of POLR2A are independent risk factors for prognosis of BG patients.
