Objective To explore the application effect of combined intervention of traditional Chinese and Western medicine on patients with advanced liver cancer.Method A total of 93 patients with advanced liver cancer were divided into conventional group(n=45)and combination group(n=48)based on different treatment methods. The conventional group received routine intervention, while the combination group received combined intervention of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The psychological status[profile of mood state(POMS)],negative emotions[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)],pain level[visual analogue scale(VAS)score],quality of life[European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life questionnaire core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30)],and inci-dence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result After intervention and one month follow-up,the VAS scores of both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the VAS scores in the combination group were lower than those in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After interven-tion,the SAS,SDS scores, and the scores of all dimensions and total score of POMS scale of the two groups were lower than those before intervention, the SAS,SDS scores, and the scores of all dimensions and total score of POMS scale in the combination group were lower than those in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of all dimensions of EORTC QLQ-C30 in both groups were higher than those be-fore intervention, the scores of all dimensions of EORTC QLQ-C30 in the combination group were higher than those in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reac-tions in the combination group was 4.17%,which was lower than 17.78%in the conventional group, and the 1-year sur-vival rate was 97.92%,which was higher than 86.67%in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined intervention of traditional Chinese and Western medicine can help patients with advanced liver cancer maintain a concise mood, alleviate negative emotions and pain, improve quality of life, and re-duce the incidence of adverse reactions.
