Diagnostic value of interleukin-2,interleukin-4,carcinoembryonic antigen,and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 combined detection in colorectal cancer and its therapeutic effect predictive value
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-4(IL-4),carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)combined detection in colorectal cancer and its therapeutic ef-fect predictive value.Method A total of 136 colorectal cancer patients and 50 healthy individuals were selected,and the serum levels of IL-2,IL-4,CA19-9,and CEA were compared between the two groups of subjects and patients with colorectal cancer with different prognosis.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn,and the area un-der the curve(AUC)was calculated,the diagnostic value of IL-2,IL-4,CEA,and CA19-9 single and combined detection for colorectal cancer and its therapeutic effect predictive value were evaluated.Result The serum IL-2 level in colorec-tal cancer patients was significantly lower than that in healthy individuals,and the levels of IL-4,CEA,and CA19-9 were significantly higher than those in healthy individuals,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The ROC curve showed that the AUC of IL-2,IL-4,CEA,and CA19-9 combined detection in diagnosing colorectal cancer was 0.910(95%CI:0.853-0.966),which was higher than the individual detection of each indicator,the sensitivity was 0.971 and the specificity was 0.820.After treatment,95 cases effective and 41 cases ineffective in 136 patients with colorectal cancer,respectively,which were divided into effective group and ineffective group.The serum IL-2 level in the ineffec-tive group was significantly lower than that in the effective group,while the levels of IL-4,CEA,and CA19-9 were signif-icantly higher than those in the effective group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The ROC curve showed that the AUC of serum IL-2,IL-4,CEA,and CA19-9 combined detection in predicting efficacy of colorectal can-cer patients was 0.956(95%CI:0.925-0.987),which was higher than the single detection of each indicator,the sensitivity was 0.902,the specificity was 0.916.Conclusion The serum IL-2,IL-4,CEA,and CA19-9 combined detection has a high diagnostic value and therapeutic effect predictive value for colorectal cancer.Clinically,the detection of these indica-tors can provide reference for the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer.
