Objective To investigate the application effect of Snyder's hope theory intervention in patients undergo-ing laparoscopic radical nephrectomy(LRN).Method A total of 76 LRN patients were divided into control group(n=35)and hope group(n=41)according to different intervention methods. The control group received routine intervention during perioperative period, and the hope group received Snyder's hope theory intervention on the basis of the control group during perioperative period. The hope level[Herth hope index(HHI)],self-efficacy[assess cancer patients'self-ef-ficacy with managing cancer experience(CPSE)],quality of life[generic quality of life inventory-74(GQOLI-74)]and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Result After intervention, the dimensional scores of HHI,CPSE,GQOLI-74 in two groups were higher than those before intervention, the dimensional scores of HHI,CPSE,GQOLI-74 in the hope group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistical-ly significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the hope group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Snyder's hope theory intervention can effectively improve the hope level of LRN patients, enhance self-efficacy,improve quality of life, and reduce the incidence of com-plications.
