Application of health education based on mind mapping in patients with glioma surgery
Objective To explore the application effect of health education based on mind mapping in patients under-going brain glioma surgery.Method A total of 69 patients with brain glioma surgery were divided into conventional health education group(n=33)and mind mapping education group(n=36)according to different intervention methods.Disease cognition level,limb function[manual muscle testing(MMT)and Fugl-Meyer motor assessment(FMA)scores],adverse emotions[symptom check list 90(SCL-90)score],mental ability[acceptance and action questionnaire-2nd edi-tion(AAQ-Ⅱ)and posttraumatic growth inventory(PTGI)scores],quality of life[Nottingham health profile(NHP)score]and incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Result The scores of reasonable diet,reasonable rest,exercise,emotional control and medication compliance in mind mapping education group were significantly higher than those in conventional health education group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).After interven-tion,the scores of MMT,FMA and PTGI in two groups were higher than those before intervention,the scores of AAQ-Ⅱwere lower than those before intervention,and the scores of MMT,FMA and PTGI in mind mapping education group were higher than those in conventional health education group,the score of AAQ-Ⅱ was lower than that in conventional health education group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of each di-mension of SCL-90 and NHP in both groups were lower than those before intervention,and the scores of each dimension of SCL-90 and NHP in mind mapping education group were lower than those in conventional health education group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reac-tions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Health education based on mind mapping can effectively improve patients'disease cognition level and limb ability,reduce adverse emotions,and improve patients'mental ability and qual-ity of life.
