Effects of hospice care combined with sufentanil patient controlled intravenous analgesia on pain level, anxiety, and subjective well-being in patients with advanced colorectal cancer
Objective To explore the effects of hospice care combined with sufentanil patient controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA)on pain level, anxiety, and subjective well-being in patients with advanced colorectal cancer.Method According to different intervention methods,82 patients with advanced colorectal cancer were divided into control group(n=40)and hospice care group(n=42).Patients in the control group received sufentanil PCIA,while patients in the pallia-tive care group received hospice care on the basis of control group. The dosage of sufentanil, number of PCIA compres-sions,degree of pain[numerical rating scale(NRS)],self-efficacy[general self-efficacy scale(GSES)],anxiety[symptom check list-90(SCL-90)],subjective well-being[general well-being(GWB)],and satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Result After intervention, the dosage of sufentanil and the number of PCIA compressions in the hospice care group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After in-tervention,the NRS scores of both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the GSES scores were higher than those before intervention, the NRS score in the hospice care group was lower than that in the control group, and the GSES score was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After in-tervention,the scores of all dimension of SCL-90 in both groups were lower than those before intervention, the scores of all dimension of GWB and total scores were higher than those before intervention, the scores of all dimension of SCL-90 in the hospice care group were lower than those in the control group, while the scores of all dimension of GWB and total score were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction rate in the hospice care group was 97.62%,which was higher than 82.50% in the control group, and the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Sufentanil PCIA combine with hospice care in advanced colorec-tal cancer patients can effectively reduce pain levels, alleviate negative emotions, and improve patient happiness and satis-faction.
