Effects of psychological resilience intervention combined with symptomatic support on mental resilience and quality of life in patients with advanced ovarian cancer with breast cancer susceptibility gene mutation
Objective To investigate the effects of psychological resilience intervention combined with symptomatic support on mental resilience and quality of life in patients with advanced ovarian cancer with breast cancer susceptibility gene(BRCA)mutation.Method A total of 80 patients with advanced ovarian cancer with BRCA mutation were divided into combined psychological intervention group(n=43)and conventional intervention group(n=37)according to different intervention methods. The conventional intervention group was treated with routine care, and the combined psychological intervention group was treated with psychological resilience intervention combined with symptomatic support on the ba-sis of the conventional intervention group.Mental resilience[Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)],pain[numer-ical rating scale(NRS)],self-efficacy[general self-efficacy scale(GSES)],mental status[symptom check list 90(SCL-90)],quality of life[European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life questionnaire core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30)]and satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Result After intervention, all dimensions scores of CD-RISC and EORTC QLQ-C30 in both groups were higher than those before intervention, and all dimensions scores of SCL-90 were lower than those before intervention, and all dimensions scores of CD-RISC and EORTC QLQ-C30 in the combined psychological intervention group were higher than those in the conventional intervention group, all dimensions scores of SCL-90 were lower than those in the conventional intervention group, and the differences were sta-tistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the NRS scores of both groups were lower than those before interven-tion,and the GSES scores were higher than those before intervention, the NRS score of the combined psychological inter-vention group was lower than that of the conventional intervention group, and the GSES score was higher than that of the conventional intervention group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate and satisfac-tion scores of the combined psychological intervention group were higher than those of the conventional intervention group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Psychological resilience intervention com-bined with symptomatic support can effectively improve mental resilience,self-efficacy,quality of life, relieve pain and negative emotion, and improve satisfaction in patients with advanced ovarian cancer with BRCAmutation.
