Effect of preoperative visit based on the concept of comprehensive toughness on negative emotion and stress response in patients undergoing breast cancer surgery
Objective To investigate the effect of preoperative visit based on the concept of comprehensive tough-ness on negative emotions and stress response in patients undergoing breast cancer surgery.Method A total of 160 pa-tients with breast cancer who underwent surgery were divided into observation group and control group,80 cases in each group.Patients in the observation group received preoperative visit based on the concept of comprehensive toughness, and patients in the control group received routine preoperative visit. The negative emotions[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)],hope level[Herth hope index(HHI)],stress response(heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure),sleep quality[Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)]and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared.Result After nursing, the scores of SAS,SDS and PSQI in two groups were lower than those before nursing, and the scores of SAS,SDS and PSQI in observation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing, each dimension of HHI scores and total scores in both groups were higher than those before nursing, and each dimension of HHI scores and total scores in observation group were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing, the heart rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of control group were higher than those before nursing and observation group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of patients in observation group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Preop-erative visit based on the concept of comprehensive toughness can reduce the negative emotion and stress response,im-prove the sleep quality, hope level and satisfaction of breast cancer patients.
