Objective To explore the effect of Xuefu Zhuyu decoction on the pain levels,pain causing factors,and quality of life in patients with cervical cancer.Method According to different treatment methods,90 cervical cancer pa-tients were divided into observation group(n=46)and control group(n=44).Both groups received cisplatin+paclitaxel(TP)regimen chemotherapy,the control group received oxycodone hydrochloride prolonged-release tablets,while the ob-servation group received Xuefu Zhuyu decoction on the base of the control group.The pain levels[numerical rating scale(NRS)],traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom scores,pain causing factors[nitric oxide(NO),prostaglandin E2(PGE2)]and quality of life[European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life questionnaire core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30)]were compared between the two groups.Result After 1,2,and 3 weeks of treatment,the NRS scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the NRS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment,the TCM syndrome score of the observa-tion group was lower than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treat-ment,the levels of NO and PGE2 in both groups were lower than those before treatment,the levels of NO and PGE2 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of each dimension of EORTC QLQ-C30 in both groups were higher than those before treat-ment,the scores of each dimension of EORTC QLQ-C30 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The cervical cancer patients treatment with Xuefu Zhuyu decoction can alleviate cancer-related pain,reduce levels of pain causing factors,improve clinical symptoms,and enhance quality of life.
