Effect of enhanced external counter pulsation on the quality of life of patients with malignant tumors
Objective To explore the effect of enhanced external counter pulsation(EECP)on the quality of life of patients with malignant tumors.Method A total of 80 patients with malignant tumors were randomly divided into study group and control group using random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. Both groups received chemo-therapy,immunotherapy,or targeted therapy single or combination treatment, while the study group received EECP treat-ment on the basis of the control group. The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life questionnaire core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30)was used to evaluate the quality of life of the two groups.Result After treat-ment,the scores of cognitive function and fatigue status in study group were lower than those before treatment, the time to fall asleep was shorter than that before treatment, the sleep time was longer than that before treatment, and the grades of nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite were higher than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).After treatment, the economic difficulty score in control group was higher than that before treatment, and the grades of nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite were higher than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of cognitive function and fatigue status in study group were lower than those in control group, and the time to fall asleep was shorter than that in control group, and the sleep time was longer than that in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion EECP can help improve the quality of life and sleep quality for patients with malignant tumors.
