Objective To explore the application value of multimodal MRI examination in preoperative grading and postoperative efficacy evaluation of brain glioma(BG).Method According to the results of pathological examination,60 BG patients were divided into low-grade BG group(n=30)and high-grade BG group(n=30).Both groups underwent multimodal MRI examination before surgery. The apparent diffusion coeffecient(ADC),cerebral blood flow(CBF)and choline(Cho)/creatine(Cr)were compared between the low-grade BG group and the high-grade BG group.According to the postoperative efficacy,60 BG patients were divided into effective treatment group(n=45)and ineffective treatment group(n=15).The ADC,CBF and Cho/Cr were compared between the effective treatment group and the ineffective treat-ment group. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and area under the curve(AUC)were used to analyze the diagnostic value of ADC,CBF and Cho/Cr single and combined detection for high-grade BG and the predictive value for postoperative efficacy in BG patients.Result The ADC in the low-grade BG group was higher than that in the high-grade BG group, the CBF and Cho/Cr were lower than those in the high-grade BG group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).The AUC of ADC,CBF and Cho/Cr combined detection for the diagnosis of high-grade BG was 0.883,which was higher than those of each index single detection. The ADC in the effective treatment group was higher than that in the ineffective treatment group, the CBF and Cho/Cr were lower than those in the ineffective treatment group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The AUC of ADC,CBF and Cho/Cr combined detec-tion for predicting postoperative efficacy in BG patients was 0.878,which was higher than those of each index single de-tection.Conclusion Multimodal MRI examination can be used for preoperative grading and postoperative efficacy eval-uation of BG,which has important guiding significance in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of BG.
