Objective To investigate the effects of perioperative micro-video health education on cognition degree and self-efficacy in patients undergoing laparoscopic rectal cancer(RC)surgery.Method A total of 111 patients with lap-aroscopic RC surgery were divided into observation group(n=55)and control group(n=56)according to different inter-vention methods. The observation group received perioperative micro-video health education, while the control group re-ceived routine intervention. The degree of disease cognition[illness cognition questionnaire(ICQ)],self-efficacy[Chi-nese-strategies used by people to promote health(C-SUPPH)],complications and satisfaction of the two groups were com-pared.Result After intervention, the scores of helplessness in both groups were decreased, and the scores of acceptance and perceived benefit were increased, and the score of helplessness in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the scores of acceptance and perceived benefit were higher than those in the control group, the differ-ences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of C-SUPPH scale increased in both groups, and the score of C-SUPPH scale in observation group was higher than that in control group, the differences were statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications of observation group was lower than that of control group, and the satisfaction rate was higher than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Perioperative micro-video health education can effectively improve the cognitive degree and self-effi-cacy of patients undergoing laparoscopic RC surgery, and can effectively prevent complications and improve nursing sat-isfaction.
