Effect of strengthen rehabilitation concept intervention on the postoperative swallowing function of patients undergoing radical laryngeal cancer surgery
Objective To investigate the effect of strengthen rehabilitation concept intervention on the postoperative swallowing function of patients undergoing radical laryngeal cancer surgery.Method A total of 60 patients who under-went radical laryngeal cancer surgery were divided into control group(n=27,conventional intervention)and observation group(n=33,strengthen rehabilitation concept intervention)according to different intervention methods. The swallowing status[MD Anderson dysphasia inventory(MDADI)],voice status[voice handicap index(VHI)]and swallowing func-tion(water swallowing test)were compared between the two groups.Result After intervention, the scores of all dimen-sions of MDADI scale and total scores in both groups were higher than those before intervention, and the scores of all di-mensions of MDADI scale and total score in observation group were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of all dimensions of VHI scale and total scores in both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the scores of all dimensions of VHI scale and total score in ob-servation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).One month after operation, the swallowing function of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The strengthen rehabilitation concept intervention can effective-ly improve the swallowing status and voice status of patients undergoing radical laryngeal cancer surgery, which is help-ful to promote the recovery of swallowing function.
