Analysis of influencing factors on the efficacy of radioactive 131 I therapy in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of the efficacy of radioactive 131I therapy in patients with dif-ferentiated thyroid carcinoma(DTC).Method A total of 120 patients with DTC were selected and received radical sur-gery for thyroid cancer and postoperative radioactive 131I treatment. The efficacy was evaluated 6 months after the first ra-dioactive 131I treatment. The multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of the efficacy of radioactive 131I treatment in DTC patients.Result The efficacy evaluation results showed that 79 cases had good efficacy and 41 cases had poor efficacy, which were respectively classified as the good group and the poor group. There were sta-tistically significant differences in gender, age, tumor diameter,TNM stage, number of lymph node metastases, recurrence risk, the level of thyroglobulin(Tg)before radioactive 131I treatment, and first dose of radioactive 131I treatment between the good group and poor group(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that tumor diameter>4 cm,number of lymph node metastases≥5,and high level of Tg before radioactive 131I treatment were independent risk factors for the efficacy of radioactive 131I treatment in DTC patients(P<0.05),high first dose of radioactive 131I treatment was a protective factor for the efficacy of radioactive 131I treatment in DTC patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Tumor diameter>4 cm,number of lymph node metastases≥5,and high level of Tg before radioactive 131I treatment are independent risk fac-tors for the efficacy of radioactive 131I treatment in DTC patients, and high first dose of radioactive 131I treatment is a pro-tective factor.
