Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of 3.0T MRI in pelvic lymph node metastasis(PLNM)and N stage of rectal cancer.Method A total of 50 patients with rectal cancer diagnosed by pathological examination were se-lected.All patients underwent 3.0T MRI examination before surgery. The diagnosis value of MRI in the PLNM and N stage of rectal cancer were analyzed with pathological examination as the gold standard.Result Among the 50 patients,22 cases with PLNM confirmed by pathological examination were included in the PLNM group, while 28 cases without PLNM were included in the non-PLNM group. The accuracy of 3.0T MRI in the diagnosis of PLNM for rectal cancer was 88.00%(44/50),the specificity was 89.29%(25/28),and the sensitivity was 86.36%(19/22),which showed high con-sistency with the pathological examination results(Kappa=0.756,P<0.05).The lymph node short diameter in PLNM group was significantly larger than that in non-PLNM group, the edge blur rate and signal ununiformity rate were signifi-cantly higher than those in non-PLNM group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The diagnosis co-incidence rate of N1 and N2 stage of rectal cancer with 3.0T MRI were 84.62%and 88.89%,respectively.Conclusion 3.0T MRI has a certain application value in the diagnosis of PLNM and N stages of rectal cancer, the diagnostic efficien-cy is high, and the MRI signs were mainly enlarged lymph node short diameter, blurred edge and uneven signal.
