Diagnostic value of color Doppler flow imaging and ultrasound elastography single and combined examination for cervical lymph node metastasis in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI)and ultrasound elastog-raphy single and combined examination for cervical lymph node metastasis in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC).Method A total of 107 PTC patients were selected and underwent CDFI and ultrasound elastography examina-tion.Pathological examination results were used as the gold standard,the diagnostic value of CDFI and ultrasound elas-tography single and combined examination for cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC patients were analyzed.Result Pathological examination results showed that among 107 PTC patients,28 cases had cervical lymph node metastasis,79 cases did not have cervical lymph node metastasis.The accuracy,specificity,and sensitivity of CDFI examination in diag-nosing cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC patients were 82.24%,86.08%and 71.43%,respectively,and the Kappa value of consistency with pathological examination results was 0.556.The accuracy,specificity,and sensitivity of ultra-sound elastography examination in diagnosing cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC patients were 82.24%,87.34%and 67.86%,respectively,and the Kappa value of consistency with pathological examination results was 0.546.The accuracy,specificity,and sensitivity of CDFI and ultrasound elastography combined examination in diagnosing cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC patients were 84.11%,84.81%and 82.14%,respectively,and the Kappa value of consistency with pathological examination results was 0.620.Conclusion CDFI and ultrasound elastography combined examination has high diagnostic value for cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC patients,especially in terms of sensitivity and accuracy,which can improve the accuracy of cervical lymph node metastasis assessment and reduce missed diagnosis rate.
