Effect of detail-based comfort intervention in operating room on early postoperative recovery and quality of life of patients undergoing radical mastectomy
Objective To investigate the effect of detail-based comfort intervention in operating room on early post-operative recovery and quality of life of patients undergoing radical mastectomy.Method A total of 80 patients who un-derwent radical mastectomy were divided into conventional group(n=38)and comfort intervention group(n=42)accord-ing to different intervention methods. The conventional group received conventional intervention in operating room, while the comfort intervention group received detail-based comfort intervention in operating room. The postoperative re-covery indicators, negative emotions[Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)],quality of life[generic quality of life inventory-74(GQOLI-74)]and incidence of postoperative complications were compared be-tween the two groups.Result The first anal exhaust time, feeding time, first getting out of bed time and postoperative hospitalization time in comfort intervention group were shorter than those in conventional group, and the total incidence of postoperative complications was lower than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).On the 3rd day after surgery, the scores of HAMA and HAMD in both groups were lower than those before inter-vention,the dimensional scores of GQOLI-74 were higher than those before intervention, the scores of HAMA and HAMD in comfort intervention group were lower than those in conventional group, the dimensional scores of GQOLI-74 were higher than those in conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of detail-based comfort intervention in operating room can promote the early recovery of patients under-going radical mastectomy, improve the negative emotions and quality of life, and reduce postoperative complications.
