Effect of racket-shaped incision mammoplasty on stress response and breast beauty in patients with breast cancer
Objective To investigate the effect of racket-shaped incision mammoplasty(RSIM)on stress response and breast beauty in patients with breast cancer.Method According to different surgical methods,103 breat cancer pa-tients were divided into RSIM group(n=52)and breast conserving group(n=51).Patients in the breast conserving group received routine breast conserving surgery, while patients in the RSIM group received RSIM surgery. The stress response indicators[advanced oxidation protein product(AOPP),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and cortisol],breast cosmetic ef-fects[breast-questionnaire(BREAST-Q)],perioperative indicators, and incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Result After surgery, the levels of AOPP and cortisol in both groups were higher than those before surgery, the levels of SOD were lower than those before surgery, the levels of AOPP and cortisol in RSIM group were lower than those in breast conserving group, and the level of SOD was higher than that in breast con-serving group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After surgery, the scores of nipple lateral dis-placement distance, texture and elasticity, nipple longitudinal displacement distance, shaping, indentation degree, and skin color in RSIM group were higher than those in breast conserving group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The surgery time in the RSIM group was longer than that in breast conserving group, and the total incidence of complications was lower than that in breast conserving group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with routine breast conserving surgery,RSIM surgery can better reduce the stress reaction of breast cancer patients, improve the breast beauty effect, reduce postoperative complications, but prolong the operation time.
